When you first log into your VainPets account probably the first thing you’ll likely want to do is to edit your main page (aka your home page)
There are three parts to your main page:
This will open up a full screen designer that looks similar to the following:
As you hover over each area / block you’ll see a blue box surrounding them – this tells you that you can click on the item to change it.
Clicking on a block or item to change it will bring up a popup – the contents of which will vary depending on the type of item you’re changing.
Here are two popups that are very different – one for the headings – text combination and one for image grids:
You can move these popups to a different screen if you’re running a multi-monitor set up. Or you can dock them on the left-right of the screen. Or you can leave them floating so you can move them around as you wish. Personally we leave them floating but others prefer having them docked all the time.
Regardless, you make changes in the popup and click the SAVE button to apply them to the screen.
When you’re finished making your changes to all blocks you can click the blue DONE button in the upper right hand side of the screen to save the entire page.
To help with performance, we aggressively cache pages. This makes your site much faster that it would normally be. But it comes with a tradeoff. Whenever you make changes and you want the rest of the world to see them you need to clear your cache. Just click on the CLEAR CACHE link in the top-bar.
To add new rows, blocks, columns and other elements to your page, you can use the big PLUS (+) button on the upper right of the screen:
This will bring up an extensive list of options from which you can drag-and-drop onto the page.
